Nydia Alvarez, nee Rodriguez, age 77, died on Sunday, June 5, 2011 after a valiant eight year battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Jose, loving mother of Sherry (Lupe), Joseph (Karla) and Robert (Erika); cherished grandmother of Michael Xavier, Matthew, Nicole, Brianna, Jazlynn, Alexis and Christian. Preceded in death by six siblings: Sarah, Victor Manuel, Gloria, Carlos, Bonifacio, and Samuel. Survived by siblings Jose Antonio (Olga), Jose Ruben (Mercedes), Edith, Carmen, Luciano, Hilda, and Carmelo. Endearing sister-in-law of Frank and Ana. She was a fond aunt, great-aunt, and friend of many. Nydia brought great JOY into the lives of all she touched.
