As a woman of faith, she faithfully brought her children to church instilling in them the importance of trusting and following God. Only after suffering a stroke took much of her independence and strength was she no longer able to attend services as she had, yet never unwavering in her love for Christ.
She carried the role of single mother with strength and sacrifice. She was feisty, outspoken and protective. She loved her children and desired the very best for them. She loved her grandchildren and delighted in occasionally slipping them a little money on the side, just because. It was her quiet way of making them feel special and loved.
Her sharp memory allowed her to tell stories with remarkable details, far beyond most young minds. She shared countless tales of her life since childhood, often repeating them with consistency.
She loved watching wrestling, and did not want to miss a fight or she’d cause a fight (smile). Whether cheering or fully invested in the action, those moments brought her joy and are memories her family will always smile about.
She is survived by her children, Miguel, Nancy (Mariano), and Denise (Hernan), grandchildren Yaritza, Yarelis, Alex (Amanda), Mario, Jocelyn, Gianni, Elenna, Isella, Alani, Jeylon, Tizlaney and Adriana, great grandchildren Aramis, Jannai, Jonah, Noah, Elijah, Josiah, Isaac, Charlie, Bella and Adan, her sister Evelyn and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father Daniel Claudio and son, Jose A. Sanchez.
While we grieve her absence, we find comfort in knowing that God gives us peace that surpasses understanding. Though her passing was sudden, her memories remain constant, and will forever be a blessing.
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light
