Peggy I Harty

Peggy I. Harty, age 88, passed away on December 20, 2021. Loving and devoted mother of Pamela (John) Stauffer, Barbara Liakopoulos, and Lee (Susan) Baker; dear sister of the late Tomm (Barbara) Harty, the late Twyla (Stanley) Warden, the late Raymond Cox, and the late Joyce Cox. Caring grandmother to Eric Baker, Angela Baker, Colin Baker, Victoria Liakopoulos, and Valerie Liakopoulos and aunt to Erin Harty, the late Brian Harty, Marc Harty, Cheryl Harsh, and Lisa Paddor.

She was kind, thoughtful, and always willing to lend a hand to anyone she encountered along her path. Tough and resilient, dementia could not rob her of helping other residents at her facility or raising concerns about residents not being treated well. She was an advocate for others and her most significant achievement and legacy will be her dedication and devotion to her family.

Always curious, a lover of books, music and art, Peggy enjoyed going through her morning paper and seeing what was happening on the news programs. She loved being outdoors and when she could not go out, her bird feeders gave her a great deal of joy as she watched for the varied species that visited. The ongoing battle to keep those pesky squirrels away never waned.

Due to COVID, a private service and interment will be held.
