

After completing his G.E.D., Ray enlisted in the United States Army and enrolled in Military Police School. After his tour of duty, he went on to a long career as a skilled floor-coverer with the Carpenter’s Union, Local 1185. A long-time Scout Leader, serious model train hobbiest, avid fisherman, hunter, bowler, poker player, and friend. Ray was also a skilled story-teller who traveled the United States and an all-around great guy.
Beloved husband of sixty years to Barbara Ellen Rodway (nee Gordon); devoted father of Ronald (Barbara) Rodway, Michael (the late Sue) Rodway, Donna (Billy) Stevens, and Darren (Dana) Rodway; very proud grandfather of Dakota and Robert Rodway, Danny and Kaytee Stevens, and Cody and Makayla Rodway.
Dear brother of Sharon (Richard) Statz and the late Leonard (the late Mary) Rodway. Son of the late Leonard Henry Rodway and Ann Kinderski Rodway.
Visitation Tuesday, May 10, 10am (prayers start 1pm) at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W. Belmont. Chicago, 60634. Family will then process to Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Northlake for 2:30pm burial with military honors.
