Born on January 22, 1949, in Yangon, Myanmar, to Hai Hwee Teng and Mya Kyin Lim, Raymond immigrated to America in search of opportunity and stability—and he discovered so much more.
Survived by his wife, Khinman K. Teng, and his sons, Gregory, Dexter, and Brandon. Raymond lived a colorful life in Chicago filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He worked tirelessly as a Respiratory Therapist at Glenbrook Hospital and cared deeply for those around him. You would seldom find him without a camera in hand, documenting memories of family and friends. He poured hours into developing film, arranging photo albums, and processing footage. From quiet, small moments at home to big trips across mountains and oceans, he loved life and those around him immensely.
It is hard to believe he is gone, but his memory will stay with us forever. We find peace in knowing he lived a full and amazing life. He will be truly missed and will always be remembered for his gentle love and selfless spirit.
We ask that if you have any memories or stories of Raymond, please share them with us to honor his life.
