

Richard Norfleet Hinton, age 66, of Forest Park, Illinois passed from this life on Tuesday November 18, 2014 due to metastatic melanoma. Richard was born on December 31, 1947 on the South Side of Chicago. He attended St. Margaret of Scotland Elementary School, St Ignatius College Prep and St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, In. In 1983 Richard was awarded a PHD in Industrial Psychology from Illinois Institute of Technology which propelled him into work as a school psychologist in the Chicago Public School System for 31 years. His Career with the CPS system spanned many schools including Lane Tech, Lindblom and Curie High Schools. As a passionate traveler with strong interest in military history he frequently traveled to Civil War, World War I, and World War II sites here and abroad. His years of service and commitment to Alcoholics Anonymous were continuous source of pride. Richard is the beloved brother of Jeanne (Tony) Gross, Joanne (Steve) Clark, Julie (John) Leanse, Jane (The Late Paul Kedo) Hinton-Kedo, and Robert Hinton. Dearly Loved Godfather to Cynthia and Uncle to Jennifer, Alexis, and Karina. Visitation Friday November 21st from 3 to 9 P.M.; Funeral Saturday 11:00 A.M. from the Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 10727 S. Pulaski Rd., to St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 9830 S. Vincennes, for mass at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Cancer Society, 225 N.
