

Rick was a cherished brother and friend, whose warmth, kindness, and laughter touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. Born on September 30, 1970 in Chicago, he lived a life full of compassion, strength, and quiet generosity.
Throughout his life, Rick was known for his faith in Jesus, unwavering support of others, his love for family, passion for music, wrestling, and movies, dedication to the same place of work for over 30 years. Whether it was a comforting word, a helping hand, or simply being present, he gave so much to so many.
Rick is survived by his older brother Tim Rumickis, as well as, a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his Father Karlis Rumickis, Mother Pearl Anne Rumickis, and younger brother Tommy (Thomas) Rumickis.
A memorial service to celebrate Rick’s life will be held on Friday, October 10th at 5pm to 8pm at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share memories.
Though gone from our sight, Rick will forever remain in our hearts.
A memorial visitation for Richard will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634, followed by a words of remembrance from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
