Ruth Gomez, 87, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on February 16, 2026. Born on July 4, 1938, she was always our “Firecracker”. Ruth’s life was a living testimony of faith, perseverance, and deep devotion to her family and to God.
She lived her life with a deep love for the Lord and a beautiful heart for serving others. Her home was always warm, her table always open, and her arms always ready to embrace those she loved. We were blessed beyond measure to be loved by her and to call her our own. Even in her final days, through pain and weakness, her kindness never faded. She carried herself with grace until the very end. Her legacy of faith, love, hospitality, and strength will live on in all of her children.
Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Jose Gomez. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Josefina and Jesse Sanchez and eight of her siblings. She is survived by her dear sister, Josefina G. Kamm (Anthony), whose bond of family and shared memories remained a treasured gift.
Ruth’s legacy lives on through her six children, Eugene Gomez (Barbara), William Gomez, Abel Gomez, Edward Gomez (Michele), Dynora Musacchio (John), and Joseph Gomez (Shannah); and extends further through her 16 dearly loved grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, praying daily for each one by name for as long as she was able. To each of them she passed down not only love, but faith—planting seeds of hope and trust in God that will continue for generations.
We are so proud and so grateful to have called her Mom, Sister, Aunt, Grandma, and Friend.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
