There are no words to describe my dad or the impact he left on my life.  He was the funniest, goofiest, kindest, biggest, and scariest (to others) person I have and will ever know.  He taught me how to respect others and how to joke. He became a “doctor” when I was hurt and a “professional chef” when I was hungry. Anything I wanted or needed he would get me, no matter what anyone had to say about it. He was a protector. If I was ever scared he’d tell me “what do you have to be scared about? I’m here!!” and I knew it was true. Nothing could hurt me when I was with him. Now more than ever I wish I had him here to protect me from all my fears, but his love flows through me and gives me strength to fight.  If you knew my father, the way he loved was the very best thing about him. I will continue to love the way he wanted me to. I will cherish the memories we created together.  And until we meet again I’ll live on looking for glimpses of him in the scary movies we’d watch, the buses we’d take, the foods we ate, the jokes we laughed about, the soda we drank, and the family he left behind. I’ll love you forever and always dad.

My sister Magaly said it so wonderfully in her memory of Art. I recall those good conversations with Art and that great smile, I remember the time my sister Norma had me meet Art for the very first time. We met at a park and being her big brother, I was looking for any reason why not to like Art. I quickly realized after speaking to Art how much he cared for my sister. One thing that I noticed when we spoke was how humble and respectful he was, I felt right there and then that my sister and Art will be together forever. Although God called Art home, I'm so grateful for our conversations, our laughter, our sadness and everything that we shared. Thank you, Art, for the life you shared with my sister Norma and for giving us our handsome nephew and our beautiful niece! Please don't worry about them as we will make sure they are well taken care of! Words are always difficult to find when you lose someone you love and care about so much, but I'm reminded of the words our Lord said in Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.

Until we see each other again Art, rest and take comfort in the wonderful peace and presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Today my heart is broken because I have lost a wonderful brother-in-law and a friend. I I have known Welby  ( Art) since he was 16 years old when he and my sister Norma were dating. He has a beautiful family with two lovely children and was a wonderful father to them. The happiest moments of his life were when he was spending time with them.

I will miss his smile, laughter, jokes and his beautiful personality. I will also miss our discussions about the world, family and church (Bible)., and of course, going to church on Sunday mornings. I’m happy that he accepted our Lord Jesus Christ and that he is no longer suffering. I know we will see each other again one day in Heaven.  Rest my brother….Love Magaly

First and foremost God has welcome you into heaven where suffering does not exist. You are at peace now. You came into my world in '04/'05 and you treated me with respect and dignity. I was going through some rough times during that era and moving to Lowel and having my cousins above me and spending time with Normaliz and all the positives that came out of her about you, I couldn't wait to finally meet you. You never judge and you always kept it 💯. I know somewhere peacefully you are reading this and I know because I can feel it in my heart. I'm gonna make you laugh right now, remember when we both had Maximas, I had the burgundy one and you had the blue one. You said, " I'm gonna put a brick on the gas pedal and drive it off a cliff for all the the bs that car put me through ".  We had some good times. People always say that they wish to go back in time to fix certain things, I wish I can go back and not lose contact with you. You will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!! Love you FOREVER my brother ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
