William Peter Siavelis

William “Bill” P. Siavelis, age 85, of Evanston passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. Bill was born on March 9, 1938 in Chicago to Peter and Ann (Vallis) Siavelis. He graduated from Austin High School in 1955 and received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from DePaul University and Northern Illinois University. Bill married Vicki Curtis in 1981 in Chicago. He taught at Evanston Township High School for 32 years. Bill enjoyed reading, traveling and was a fan of both the Cubs and the Bears.

He was preceded in death by, his parents and his brother-in-law, Earl Egli.

Bill is survived by, his wife of 42 years, Vicki; two children, Peter (Colleen) Siavelis and Sue (Tim) Tullis; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Drew), Marissa and Alex; a great granddaughter, Annie; his sister, Elaine Egli as well as other family and many friends.

A private family burial will be held at Rosehill Cemetery. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date, please check back for times and dates.
