Mr. Hubert "Banny" Wiginton

Funeral service for Hubert "Banny" Wiginton, age 83, of Chelsea will be Friday at 11 AM at the Childersburg Church of Christ with Dr. Donnie Hilliard officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. He was born February 18, 1927 in Wiginton, AL (Marion County). His parents were the late Arlin and Mozelle Wiginton. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He retired from Alabama Power Company at E.C. Gaston Steam Plant for 30 years. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Navy. He was a Avid fisherman, and outdoorsman. His hobbies included; camping, hunting, Gardening and riding up Logan Martin Lake on his pontoon boat. He was a member of Childersburg Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving Wife of 63 years: Olene Wood Wiginton of Chelsea, daughter: Vickie Wiginton Cotney (Steve) of Birmingham, Sons: Danny Wiginton (Fran) of Talladega, Joey Wiginton (Nancy) of Tallassee, 5 Granddaughters: Lori Cotney Aultman (Sid) of Birmingham, Wendy Cotney Till (Clint) of Birmingham, Tiana Wiginton Jacobs (Andrew) of West Palm Beach, FL, Amber Wiginton of Montgomery, Kayla Wiginton of Tallassee 5 Grandsons: Wes Wiginton (Jeannie) of Oxford, Keith Little (Robyn) of Auburn, Eric Wiginton of Talladega, Barry Wiginton of Calera, Kacy Wiginton of Tallassee 2 Great Granddaughters: Anna Claire Little and Isabelle Aultman, 7 Great Grandsons: Parker Aultman, Austin Wiginton, Pearson Little, Phoenix Till, Brady Aultman, Fox Till, Harrison Little, Brother: Hilburn Wiginton and Sister: Hilda June Wiginton of Huntsville. Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the services.
