Ray is survived by his wife, Mary Cooper; his daughter Tammie Lyn Crowe; his son Ray Laverne Cooper Jr; his son Thomas Tolsch; his son William M. Tolsch; his son Jon P. Tolsch; and his son Paul David Tolsch; his grandchild Cheyenne Cooper, his grandchild Rocky Trotman, his grandchild Donovan Cooper, his grandchild Thomas Michael Tolsch Jr, his grandchild Jennifer Ruth Tolsch, his grandchild Jordan E. Tolsch, his grandchild Jaryn E. Tolsch, his grandchild Braden Tolsch, his great grandchild Cyrilla E. Tolsch, his great niece Debra Phippen, his nephew Billy Bartels, his great niece Margaret "Margo" Bongiovanni and his great nephew Quinn Phippen.

Ray was preceded in death by his father Ivan Cooper and his mother Frances Cooper; his brother Calvin Cooper and his sister Mary Bartels; his nephew Tommy Cooper.

A memorial service for Ray will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, 1099 1st St NW, Childersburg, Alabama 35044.
