

Arnie was born on September 3, 1941, in Regina, Saskatchewan. At the age of four, he moved with his family to Agassiz, BC, where he was raised and built a life rooted in family, hard work, and community.
Arnie dedicated over 40 years of his career as an electrician and lineman, earning the respect of his colleagues and friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Annetta; his children, Steven (Karen), Susan (Nasiem), and Larry (Shannon); his cherished grandchildren, Mathew, Mackenzie, Serena, Emma, Aiden, Madison, and Hanna; his great-grandchild, Lily; and his sister, Frieda.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Pauline, and his siblings, Tillie, Ted, Ivan, and Sieg.
Arnie had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He found his greatest joy in being surrounded by family and friends, especially during time spent together at gatherings. He loved playing cards, always with a bit of friendly competition. He also found peace in fishing and camping, where many cherished memories were made in the outdoors. Arnie was an avid sports fan, particularly devoted to watching the Vancouver Canucks, and took great pride in cheering on his sons during their baseball and floor hockey games.
He will be fondly remembered for his boisterous laugh, warm hugs, big smile, and his signature good-natured teasing, which brought joy to everyone around him.
A private family graveside service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Valley View Cemetery in Agassiz.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Agassiz Agricultural Hall, 6800 Pioneer Avenue, Agassiz, BC, V0M 1A3.
Arnie’s legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
