Dave, Larry, James and families,

As you gather this afternoon to celebrate the life of our dear, sweet Bev, we want you to know we are with you in thought even though we are not able to join you in person. We trust you will feel the love we are sending at this difficult time.

We have had the privilege of Bev’s friendship for well over 40 years. The beautiful memories we shared were numerous from attending the boys’ football games at West Kings, dinner parties, camping trips, mess dinners, weddings, Christmas and even our very first home (just at different times) to name a few.

As a new military wife (Rhonda), Bev mentored me through basic training which included recipes which I use to this day and tips on how to reign the guys back in from time to time. We shared many laughs together.

Bev will remain in our hearts forever and as you move forward we trust her memories will comfort you all.

Carmen and I were heartbroken to hear of Bev’s passing.

Bev will always have a special place in our hearts and lives. She was an amazing friend and she is a part of our family.

Dear Uncle Dave,

I know that this is such a difficult time for you and the entire family.  Auntie Bev is loved by all us.  I certainly know it gives comfort to you, when your family and friends share the stories and memories that they have with you.  These memories live forever, and will always warm our hearts , bring smiles to our faces, and help us get through difficult times.  I  am so privileged to have been part of your family for over 30 years.  The phone calls, ( I get  my Auntie Bev time before the phone is passed to Sheryl or Brenda) the birthday and anniversary cards were always something to look forward to.  Uncle Dave, many years ago we were golfing with Larry at 108 mile.  Larry and I crushed a couple of drives (yes they were straight) down the fairway.  You were quite a ways back and into the rough.  Larry and I went up ahead, and Auntie Bev and Sheryl were walking with you.  You went up to your ball and gave it a foot wedge .  Sheryl said out loud to Auntie Bev, “Is he allowed to do that “?  You have to ask Sheryl what Auntie Bev said, because it is something that always brings a smile to our faces when we think about that day.
I know that many of your friends will read this and now wonder how many foot wedges you used when you played with them. Sorry Uncle Dave!  I wish I could give you a hug right now.  That will come.

I was very surprised to hear of Bev's passing this morning. Bev was one of my absolute favourite people in the whole world. I considered her my "work mom" at Henderson's and many of my fond memories of my time there involve her. She was kind and intelligent and funny and had all of the exemplary qualities you could ever hope to find in a person. She was such a good woman. My deepest condolences to Dave and the rest of her family. 

I first met Bev 30 years ago and remember being very impressed by her grace and beauty.  Our family is saddened by her passing.  She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  Deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

Bev & Dave are some of my favourite people and dearest friends of my family.  Bev was a truly special lady.  I will cherish my fond childhood memories of her.

Bev was an amazing woman,  she  was gentle,  kind, giving, but at the same time a very strong independent person with a quirky feisty personality.    She will be missed greatly by so many.   

As one of my best friends and favourite cousins she will be missed. From our times together as kids to being the best man at her wedding Bev and I have kept in touch for over 75 years. 
You willed be missed.

Bev has been part of my life for nearly 50 years.   We met in Chilliwack in the early 70's.  She and Dave were my parents' friends, then mine. In Ottawa, Bev and I rode the same bus together, where I would marvel at her expert application of Mary Kay make-up.  By they time we got downtown, she'd be photo shoot ready for any TV morning show.  Later Bev and Dave offered up their condo for my pre-wedding photos - my husband Bob and I will be married 35 years this December.  Bev was lovely both inside and out.  Her laugh was contagious, and friendship a gift.  Although it's been some time since we'd seen one another, the holiday card exchange keep us connected.  Bev will be missed by many, but none more than her family.   Prayers of comfort, and much love to Dave, James, Larry and your families.  May your fondest memories be lasting ones.  Big hugs. Bev was Jims  and  my  dear friend.  Her hospitality knew no bounds. Her infectious laugh.  Always a lady.  I will miss her.
