It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Craig Coughlin. Craig grew up in the Ryder Lake/Sardis area and enjoyed such sports as hardball and snow skiing.He logged around Chilliwack Lake and Spuzzum before moving to Alberta.Craig lived in Drayton Valley for 14 years and was a B pressure rig welder in Alberta’s oil patch.He returned to his hometown of Chilliwack where he lived until his passing.
Craig had a quick wit and a great sense of humor.He liked a challenge and enjoyed dirt biking, jet-boat racing and paragliding.He was also artistic and creative, building furniture and doing auto body work on cars, bikes and boats.
Craig is survived by his brothers Barry, Keith (Lynn) & Glenn (Jeri Lynn); his three nephews Will Wedel, Russell Coughlin & Taylor Coughlin; and sister-in-law Sandy Coughlin.He was predeceased by his parents John & Iris Coughlin, niece Lacey Coughlin and sister-in-law Jane Coughlin.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Henderson's Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 45901 Victoria Ave, Chilliwack, BC V2P 2S9. Reception to follow at the Royal Hotel Hospitality Room, 45886 Wellington Ave, Chilliwack, British Columbia V2P 2C7.
