Edna Gale

She married the love of her life Eugene Gale, on September 18, 1952. Together they travelled for 17 years with the Canadian Armed forces while raising three children. Gene passed away in December of 1969 leaving Edna to raise the children on her own. Edna was also predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Annabel Porter; her son, Rick; her son-in-law, Ron Gerbrandt; sisters Beulah Keeping and husband Clyde; Rose Murphy and her husband Melvin; brothers-in-law Cecil Porter and John Kerns, as well as two nieces and two nephews. Edna is survived by her daughter, Sandy Gerbrandt, son, Rob Gale; grandchildren, Lisa (Rod) Halsall, Mandy Santos; Robbie (Jess) Callender, and great grandchildren, Blaine, Ryanna, and Bella. Also Sisters Alma Porter, Georgina (Keltie) Osmond, and Annie Kerns and many nieces and nephews.

Edna was a strong, caring, thoughtful, and giving lady. She supported many charities and volunteered her time to many organizations. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and playing crib and other card games with friends. Her love, quick wit and humour will be missed.

Memorial Service will be held at St. Johns Anglican Church on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 1:00pm, 46098 Higginson Road, Chilliwack.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Canadian Diabetes, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity close to your heart.
