Frederick James Hatchard

Fred will be greatly missed by his beautiful wife of 55 years, Patricia Joan Hatchard (McConnell), daughter Tammy Stayner (Hatchard) and husband Cliff Stayner, son Michael Hatchard, his grandchildren, Samantha and Erik Neville, twin sister Amelia Brown (Hatchard) her husband Dwight Brown, and many cousins to whom he cherished.

Fred and Amy were born to James and Asta Hatchard (Peturson) in Winnipeg, MB, then the family moved to BC when Fred was young. Growing up Fred loved music and cars and hanging out with his friends. Fred was kind, compassionate and always the funny guy. Once he met and married Patti, he had begun his career as a manager in the music industry in the early 70s. They had wonderful parties in their basement filled with their friends and lots of music. Fred in time changed careers starting a business with his friend Bill Thederahn, dealing with toys and other items until he retired. Fred loved attending car shows and watching racing with his kids, just being silly with them was his thing. He was a wonderful father.

Patti and Fred had a beautiful loving life together raising their two children. They would travel a lot with their best friends, seeing lots of wonderful places whether it was camping or cruising, they always had a great time. Patti will forever miss her best friend and love of her life.

As per Fred wishes, there will not be a funeral or celebration of life, he wished to go quietly and peacefully. He loved and appreciated all those who were in his life and was grateful for all you brought to making his life better.
