Genevieve Irene Lerigny

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am, October 28th at St. Mary's Community Church 8909 Mary St. Chilliwack Burial will follow the funeral and St. Mary's Cemetery on Promontory Road.

Gene was born in Leipzig Saskatchewan on October 19th, 1925.

Gene was married to Francis (Frank) Lerigny on November 20th, 1945, they were married 63 years before the passing of Frank on November 1, 2007.

A great woman of faith Gene, along with her husband, loved music and spent many years in the church choir. She also wrote and performed songs for the residents of care facilities in the area. Even at Cascade Lodge she continued by being part of the bells chorus.

She was a long standing member of the CWL (Catholic Woman's league) at St. Mary's.

Gene is survived by here three children; Gerarda, David (Roberta), and Stephen (Kelly), 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and her sisters Shirley and Terry.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Children's Hospital.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cascade Lodge for the loving care they provided to mom over the past eight years.
