Jacob B Toews

It is with great sadness that the family of Jacob B Toews announce his passing on February 20, 2024 at the age of 92 years. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his eight children, Derryl (Karen), Orilyn (Don), Carmen (Denis), Nancy (Daryl), Ruth (Paul), Sharon (Jeff), Daniel (Donna) and Rebecca; 24 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren. Dad was predeceased by loving wife, Lorie Freda, his son in law, Philippe Straforelli and grandson, Adrian Routhier. Dad will be forever remembered for his deep love for God and his children, and wise words of wisdom for life. He was called to serve God in ministry as a young man. He went on to do missionary work in the West Indies and then pastored several churches in both Canada and the United States, church planting several of them. His passion was to serve God’s people and be obedient to God’s calling on his life. In his younger days he loved hunting, creating delicious meals with his meat rubs on wild meat, and a good cup of coffee! He is remembered by his children for being on his knees praying in the early morning hours, for his family and the ministry God called him to. Dad instilled in his family the importance of loving and respecting each other in our relationships. A Memorial will be held on Friday, April 19, at 1:00 pm at Northview Community Church, Abbotsford, B.C.
