

James, better known as Jimmy Reddick passed away on September 7th 2011 at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital at the age of 60 years. He was born on September 5th 1951 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. He was the son of James and Josephine Reddick.
Jimmy served 20 years with the military as a supply technician. After retirement from the military he became a Corrections Officer. During his time with Corrections Canada, he worked in Grande Cache Institution in Alberta for 10 years. He also worked at Matsqui Institution in Abbotsford, BC. James loved to watch and play baseball. He watched every sport available on T.V. He enjoyed the Global News Channel for all the news. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching hockey with his son, Jamie. His favourite place to visit was his homestead at 32 Jessome Street, where he enjoyed many card games and quality time with family and life-long friends.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Margaret (Peggy) Reddick, and one son Jamie of Harrison Hot Springs. Jimmy is also survived by brothers Samuel (Gladys) of Glace Bay, Michael of Edmonton, Franky (Marilyn) of Edmonton, William (Tammy) of Glace Bay, Rickey (Betty); sisters Mary (Everett) of Monastery, Linda of Edmonton, Jacqueline (Leslie) of Truro, Doreen (Michael) of Dartmouth, Ardella (Wilfred) of Lincolnville, Shelby of Edmonton and Barbara (Norm) of Sunnyville. Also survived by several very special nieces, nephews and life-long friends; Kevin (Blanche) of Glace Bay, Rita (Jim) Greenwood, Auley Cromwell of Ottawa and the Headley family. Jimi was predeceased by his parents, sisters Sheila (Rowena), Donna (Dolly) Winnifred (Winnie), and brothers Rusty, John (Coco) and Jerry.
