Jean Catherine Jackson

Jean was born on May 30, 1923 in Berwick, Nova Scotia. She is survived by three children, Cathy Jackson (Carl Mann) (Paris, France), Donna (Ben) Gormley (Sublimity, Oregon, USA) and Linda Jackson (Vancouver, BC), nine grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy, Kathleen, Brendan, Eilish, Quinn, Andrea, Ryan, and Ashlene, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bill; sisters Elizabeth (Ross) Macdonald and Eunice (Richard) Sircom; brothers George and Allan (Hettie) Magee.

Jean graduated from the Glace Bay General Hospital School of Nursing, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia in 1949, and travelled across Canada working as a nurse. She was married to Bill Jackson of Three Hills in 1959, and lived there until 1993, when she moved to Chilliwack. Jean enjoyed many years of participation in the Young at Heart Senior Group of St. Mary’s parish.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 7 at 1 pm from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
