Judith Ramsay (nee Skelton), age 73 (74 "almost"), born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, passed away on September 7, 2015 in Chilliwack, BC. Judy was born at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 14th, 1941.
Her proudest accomplishment were her 5 children. She loved to see her children grow into their potential and most important become as thoughtful, generous and funny as her. Our home was an open door for our friends and extended family. We didn’t have much, but what we did have was meant to be shared with anyone in need.
She soaked in every moment she had with each grandchild cherishing every visit, story and picture of them. Little Grandma was their growth chart. Each grandchild waited for the moment they grew past her 4'11' height. Mom would 'act' begrudgingly defeated when each would pass her in height to make the accomplishment all the more special. As the grandchildren grew the open door policy continued and included grandchildren and their friends. All conversations shared with her was in confidence. The grandchildren enjoyed their sleepovers with Little Grandma.
Eleven Great Grandchildren soon followed giving her more joy and amazement.
We are the legacy of Judy Ramsay. Twenty Six loved & cherished family members started from one small lady that believed in family. While many struggled to find purpose and happiness in life our mother knew the answer all along. FAMILY
Mom was a huge lover of animals and treated them as family. She would celebrate any animal that came into our lives and mourned their passing with as much grief as a family member. She especially loved her cats and is survived by her Tuxedo Cat Georgie who will be cared for exactly as she wanted him to until he joins her.
She loved to laugh and enjoyed quirky humor. In the last three years, our funny, stubborn little mom fought every day to spend one more moment with her family. Though she be but little, she is fierce ~ William Shakespeare
She was wealthy in love, with all her family being so close. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her brothers: Rick Skelton, wife Tonya Skelton and Gary Skelton, wife Deborah Skelton; her 5 Children: Deborah Ramsay, husband Doug Lawrence; Wendy Ramsay; Cindy Cox, husband Robert Cox; David Ramsay, wife Corrina Ramsay and Kimberly Ramsay; her Nephews & Nieces: Adam Henwood; Lucas Skelton; Jessie Skelton; Jeremy Skelton, wife Nicole and Kari Jespersen, husband Ryan; her 10 Grandchildren: Matthew Ramsay, wife Cori; Jennifer Ramsay; Kai Stone; Patrick Cox, wife Mellissa; Scott Cox, wife Becky; Alex Ramsay; Steven Ramsay; Emily Ternullo; Nicholas Ternullo and Justin Ternullo and wife Stephanie; her 11 Great Grandchildren: Araya; Kiera; Allie; Amy; Alex; Amber; Olivia; Caleb; Adalynn; Avery and Kinsley.
