Always laughing, always loved.
She is survived by her beloved children Keaton, Emerson, and Laine; her loving partner Andrew and his children Marc, Brooklyn, and Jake; her brother Matt; and so many extended family and friends.
Katie thrived when surrounded by her people. Known for her beautiful smile and contagious laugh, she was the center of fun wherever she went. She had a rare gift for loving deeply and keeping friendships close through every season of life.
She taught us the true meaning of family that love, connection, and time together are what make life full.
Katie lived bravely with early-onset familial Alzheimer’s. Throughout her journey, she raised awareness and funds for the BC Alzheimer’s Association. Her message was simple but powerful: be kind and patient—you never know what someone is going through.
Thank you to everyone at the Chilliwack hospital that cared for and honoured Katie in her final moments.
Her family invites all who loved her to join in celebrating Katie’s birthday together on November 29 at 7:00 p.m at the White Rock Community Center, 15154 Russel Ave.
Please consider donating to the BC Alzheimer’s Association in her honour, and take a moment to register as an organ donor—causes she deeply cared about.
