Keith Francis Blackmur

Keith (Francis) Blackmur passed away after a year-long battle with cancer on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Chilliwack Hospital at the age of 87. He is lovingly remembered by his children Karen, Carol (Wade Sharp), Kevin (Rhonda), and Colleen (Darryl), grandchildren Kailee Picco (Brian), Nicki Picco (Hassan Aden), Noah Michielsen, Peter Michielsen (Mahalia), Courtney Reid (Travis Russell), James Reid, Mathew Kamali Blackmur, Jenny Kamali Blackmur (Tyson Brueckler), Emily Gibson, Connor Gibson, and great grandchildren Easton Russell, Treyden Russell, Maleek Aden, Ariya Kamali Blackmur, and Arlo Brueckler.

Keith was predeceased by his wife Nancy, his parents Walter and Gwen Blackmur of Biggar, SK, his brother Lloyd Blackmur of Regina, SK, and Pat Reid, his son-in-law. Keith is also survived by his brother Clifford Blackmur (Stella) of Sherwood Park, AB, his sister Eileen Danyluk of Saskatoon, SK, and his sister Heather McCarthy (Pat) of Kamloops, BC.

Keith was the proud father of his four children, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Keith came from humble beginnings on a farm in Saskatchewan and worked hard his whole life to build a legacy for his family. He took much pride in his military career of 27 years and 18 years as the manager of the Marpole Curling Club in Vancouver.

Keith will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Carman United Church, 7258 Vedder Road, Chilliwack, BC on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 11:00 am with a lunch to follow at the church. An internment service for the family will be held at the Chilliwack Cemeteries, 10010 Hillcrest Drive, Chilliwack at 1:30 pm.

A reception for all at the Chilliwack Curling & Community Centre, 45555 Spadina Avenue, Chilliwack, BC will be held at 2 pm (family to join by 3 pm).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in the name of Keith Blackmur to the Carman United Church.
