Ken was a grand force to be reckoned with! His smile lit up the room & his stories & jokes were heartfelt. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, amazing grandfather and great-grandfather and an honest businessman for many years, owning his own business, Speedline Truck and Trailer.
Ken had a zest for life that was truly evident in everything he did. As a young man, he raced cars on the ice racing circuit in Canada & the US and also drove Formula race cars at Westwood, BC. He owned many classic cars over his lifetime and had a true appreciation for them. He was an avid private pilot, owning many small aircraft over the years and enjoyed every minute of his time in the air. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his friends & brothers, hunting and fishing, building his cabin & often times flying into remote locations in his float plane. Ken was also an incredible musician and loved to play his fiddles whenever he could, jamming with good friends both in Mesa Arizona and British Columbia.
He met the love of his life, his soulmate Stephanie in 1961 when she fell off of her bicycle and he picked her up and drove her home. They were married in 1963 in Winnipeg with a grand Ukrainian wedding. They had a pause in their marriage for some years but the Lord brought them back to each other and they were remarried on April 2nd 2022 and had a wonderful life together until his passing. He also had a very big soft spot for his labradors & pugs, the last pup being his pug Pepper who misses him so very much. He will be incredibly missed by his entire family who look forward to being united with him again one day in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
Ken was predeceased by his father Emanuel Manchulenko, his mother Caroline Manchulenko and his brother William Manchulenko, niece Kimberlee Manchulenko and nephew Michael Manchulenko.
He is survived by his loving wife Stephanie, his daughter Carolyn (Scott) and his son Jim (Kathy) grandsons Bradley, Gaven & Joel, granddaughter Miranda and great-grandson Jasper and brothers Gerry (Evelyn) and Ted (Debbie) and sister-in-law Marie-Anne and their extended families.
