Kristen Marie MacPherson

Kristen Marie MacPherson, born on August 23, 1974, in Nanaimo, British Columbia, passed away on February 5, 2026, at the age of 51 with her family by her side. Kristen was a resident of Chilliwack, British Columbia, where she lived a life marked by compassion, adventure, and bravery.

Kristen graduated from Chilliwack Senior Secondary in 1992. Her early careers included roles at the Chilliwack YMCA and First Heritage Credit Union. In 2006, she completed the Licensed Practical Nurse program at Vancouver Community College then began her nursing career at Chilliwack General Hospital.

Kristen had a long involvement with the Girl Guides of Canada in Chilliwack, serving as District Commissioner in 1995. She was very community-minded and a member of the Chilliwack Mt Cheam Lions Club.

Kristen was known for being brave, compassionate, and adventurous. She was deeply devoted to her family, who were the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them. An avid traveler, Kristen found joy in exploring new places and creating lasting memories along the way. She was always ready to take on new challenges, facing life with determination and an open heart.

Over the past three years, Kristen fought a long and difficult battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, she demonstrated extraordinary courage and resilience, enduring each day with strength so she could spend as much precious time as possible with the people she loved. Her unwavering spirit, kindness, and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Chad MacPherson, and their daughter, Ella MacPherson. Kristen also leaves behind her parents, Sonja and Allan Hunt, her parents-in-law, Holly and Chuck Stewart, as well as Aunt Myra (Daryl) Hatton-Patton, Uncle Bill Stutchbury, and cousins Lisa, Danny, Ben, and Mckenna. Kristen was predeceased by her grandparents, Fred and Hilda Patton, and Jack and Betty Hunt.

The family is forever grateful for the care and support of the army of nursing friends who have been a huge support to them all. They are truly angels.

Family and friends are invited to attend Kristen's Celebration of Life on March 7th at 1:00 pm at Central Community Church, 46100 Chilliwack Central Rd, Chilliwack, British Columbia, V2P 1J6. A reception to visit with the family will follow the celebration.
