Kristopher Wayne Benson of Chilliwack, BC, passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 48. Born on January 2, 1978, in New Westminster, he spent his early years in Pitt Meadows before moving to Chilliwack at 13.
Kris worked in construction as a pipe layer and with Benson Tank Lines alongside his father, Don. He had many passions, including animals, snowmobiling, fishing, and boating — but above all, his greatest love was his children and granddaughter.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Olive and Orval, grandmother Mary, his father Don, and his brother-in-law Gord.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Brooklynn and Madison, his cherished granddaughter Sophia, his mother Brenda, his brother Jamie (Amber), his sister Shanna, his nephews Brandon and Carter, his nieces Aliya and Milana, and many dear friends.
Kris will be remembered for his kind heart, his respect for others, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He loved deeply and lived fully, and he will be missed more than words can express.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
