Linda Mae Renard

Linda Mae (Schan) Renard passed away on July 13, 2021 in Chilliwack, British Columbia at the age of 77. She was born November 21 1943 in Port Alberni, British Columbia. Linda is survived by her five children Joseph Brent Schan, Barrie Thomas McKnight, Michelle Yvonne Ruby (Brad), Bradley Martin Mikalson (Cheryl), Robert Kenneth Mikalson (Jessah Mae), thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sister, Margaret (Schan) Simpson and nephew Curtis Simpson (Susan).

Linda was predeceased by her husband Ronald Renard of Okotoks.

As a young child Linda grew up in Port Alberni, British Columbia. At age six she went to live in Taber, Alberta, with Aunt and Uncle Bob and Leetta Lawson. Following the death of mother Opal Schan from complications of tuberculosis. Father Joseph remained in Port Alberni, as a longshoreman. Linda lived in Port Alberni, British Columbia; Taber, Alberta; Okotoks, Alberta; and Chilliwack, British Columbia. She worked at various jobs and raised her family. Linda loved her family, gardening and crafts. The family wish to express our thanks to the doctors and staff at The Heritage Village for the many years of care she was given. Also a special thanks from all of the family to Daughter-in-law Jeanette Christiensen McKnight for the years of unwavering love and care while Linda struggled with her illness.
