

Oscar Schultz went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2014 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 82. Oscar was born on November 11, 1931 in Rosser, Manitoba to Herman and Ferdinanda Schultz. The Schultz family moved to Chilliwack in 1946. Oscar graduated from Chilliwack Senior Secondary and began working at Canada Packers (York Farms in Sardis) in 1950. He worked for the same company for 42 years, including 4 years in Lethbridge and 4 years in Toronto. During his career he worked his way up from Bookkeeper to Company President.
Oscar married the love of his life, Joyce Cramer in 1953 and they were happily married for over 60 years. Travelling was a big part of Oscar’s career and retirement. He enjoyed travelling to over 30 countries. His favorite holidays included their annual month in Waikiki and many cruises with family and friends.
Other hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing and curling. Oscar was a faithful member of the Chilliwack Alliance Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, board member and church treasurer.
Oscar was a devoted family man and a well respected businessman who left a legacy of encouragement, integrity and love. He will be sadly missed by his wife Joyce, children June Weathermon, Don (Cynthia) Schultz, Barb (Lyle) Mammel and Brenda (Daryl) Goshulak, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brothers Ed (Isabel) Schultz and Richard Schultz and sisters Hilda Schindel and Frieda Dams.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Chilliwack Alliance Church, 8700 Young Road, Chilliwack; Rev. Greg Dalman officiating. Donations in memory of Oscar can be made to Hungry for Life International, www.hungryforlife.org.
