Patricia Ann Nevokshonoff

Patricia was the heart of her home and a light in the lives of all who knew her. She was a prolific game player, always ready to gather people around a table, and her home was a place where everyone was welcome. Known as the true ‘Empress’ of hospitality, she created a space filled with warmth, laughter, and belonging.

She had a deep love of fun and laughter, and some of her happiest moments were spent being wonderfully silly with those she loved. Whether with her husband, her daughters, or her granddaughters, she delighted in laughter, playfulness, and the kind of joy that turns into cherished memories.

She was deeply creative, with a mind that found joy in many forms of expression. Whether through crafts or other creative pursuits, she brought beauty and imagination into everyday life. She also had a voice that could have easily been singing for Disney, full of life, joy, and something truly special… particularly when singing her favourite solo, Ten Thousand Angels.

More than anything, Patricia loved Jesus with all her heart. Her greatest desire was to live a life that pointed others toward Him, and she did so faithfully through her kindness, generosity, and the way she loved people so deeply and unconditionally.

She will be forever loved and missed by her devoted husband, John Nevokshonoff; her daughter Taleen Candy and son-in-law Blair Candy, and their children Emily, Charlie, and Olivia; and her daughter Jenifyr Hoxie and son-in-law Ryan Hoxie, and their children Emma, Sophia, and Ava; and her daughter by choice Kim Baumann and her husband Terry Baumann, and their children Hannah, Lydia, Isaiah, and Josiah.

She was predeceased by her father Lloyd, her mother Elinor, and her brothers Charlie and David.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at Midtown Church on Saturday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m.

Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice in the hope she held so firmly to. Her legacy of love, faith, creativity, and hospitality will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
