Born in Riga, Latvia, Ray’s family immigrated to Montreal, Quebec in 1949. In 1988 Ray and his wife Christine and their two children moved to Langley, BC. In 2000, Ray and Christine retired in their dream home in the lakeside community of Harrison Hot Springs, BC. It was there that Ray lived his retirement to the fullest. Boating, golfing, fishing and having friends, his children (and their friends), his grandchildren, and granddogs over for regular visits. In the 22 years that Ray lived in Harrison, he made many friends, both on and off the golf course. He stopped to talk to anyone and everyone he passed.
Ray is survived by his wife of 53 years Christine, son Ryan and daughter-in-law Kady, daughter Careese and son-in-law JP, granddaughters Peyton and Paris and granddogs Roman, Ralphie, Rupert, Thor and Zeus.
To quote one of Ray’s favorite singers – Rod Stewart “You go through life wondering what it is about but at the end of the day, it’s all about family”. We were well loved by you and will miss you deeply.
To honor his wishes, only a private family service will be held.
