Shirley Norreen Bellamy

1930-2023

Our mom passed away peacefully at Menno Home in Abbotsford on May 22,2023, at age 92.

She was born in Chilliwack on August 15,1930. Her parents, Norman and Irene Chapman homesteaded on the corner of Camp River Road and Chapman Road. Chapman Road was named after them.

She is survived by her daughters Judy Neave and Sharon Cooper(Art).

Shirley is predeceased by her husband Art of 43 years, in 1991. Also predeceased by her sister Winnifred Crawford, her brothers, Leslie Chapman, John Chapman, and Robert Chapman.

Survived by 6 grandchildren; Donald Benoit; Mike Neave; Dennis Benoit(Carrie); Jackie Neave (Geoff); Stephanie Benoit; and Brian Neave(Sarah). She has 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her niece, Joan Aiello, visited her often in Abbotsford.

In her free time, she enjoyed 5 pin bowling, and carpet bowling. She was an active member of the Ladies Circle at the Camp River Hall. As per her request, there will be no funeral service.

We wish to extend our thanks to Dr.K. Dueck and the staff at Menno Home, who took excellent care of our Mom.
