Thomas David Dixon passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on September 30, 2025 at age 87. Thomas spent his early life in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, where he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing extensively. After graduation, he worked as an ambulance driver and as a fire fighter and later trained at the University of Saskatchewan as a funeral director. He married the love of his life, Barbara, and the couple moved to Moose Jaw where he worked as a funeral director and became a father to three daughters. In 1972, the family moved to Chilliwack, where Thomas lived until his passing. His kind, caring presence was appreciated in his roles as manager at Woodlawn Funeral Home and as a pastor at City Life Church. Thomas enjoyed hunting and fishing in BC, travelling, camping, and sharing his love, faith, and humour with others. He became fondly known as “Papa Tom”. Thomas was predeceased by his wife Barbara in 2023. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Epp (Mark), Lorrie Dekoff (Lorne), and Alison Vermeer (Gary), seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
