Waunetta Fay Nelmes

Waunetta met the love of her life, Raymond, while they were both working at Dairyland. Together they built a life centered on family and raised four children.

In her final years, she resided at Eden Care Facility, where she was cared for with kindness and compassion. Our family is deeply grateful to the staff for the support and dignity they gave her.

She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Shelley in 1985; her husband Raymond in 2006; her brothers Ken, Omer, and Dave Alendal; her sister Marj Thorne; and her son-in-law Gordon Cryderman.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Iris Larratt; her brother-in-law Bob Larratt; her sisters-in-law Joan Alendal and Shirley Alendal; her sons Greg and Rod Nelmes; and her daughter Kim Cryderman.

Waunetta was a proud and devoted mother, grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of nine, all of whom brought her great joy.

Waunetta was known for her kind heart and quiet generosity, she was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. She dedicated her life to her family, creating a home filled with warmth, care, and simple joys. We remember the big yard where we grew up, surrounded by fruit trees, and the many hours she spent canning and preserving what she had grown. She also had a special love for antiques and found great satisfaction in restoring them with care and patience.

She was a loving mother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
