Wayne Overholt Hogg

Wayne Hogg passed away on February 10, 2025, in Chilliwack, BC. He was born in Hamilton, Ontario, on January 4, 1949. Wayne is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elaine Christie; his children, Karen Hartshorne (Chris) and Chris Hogg (Jackie Tulip); and grandchildren Paige, Easton, and Kenzie.

He has been such a fighter for more than 5 years; first dealing with cancer, having hip surgery due to a fall in late January and the pneumonia that developed after surgery, it was all too much. We are grateful that the hospital staff kept him comfortable. The family is happy that he is no longer in pain.

His passing has left a hole in our family. Throughout the years, he was the rock. His values, beliefs, and humour have made our family foundation strong. He will be missed, but we have so many great memories. Wayne was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and very loyal friend.

A Celebration of Life will be held later in the spring.
