Wilma Vrieselaar

Wilma Vrieselaar, of Coaldale, Alberta, formerly of Chilliwack, beloved wife of the late Ted Vrieselaar; cherished mother to Tammy (Brian) Trelenberg, Jason Vrieselaar, Amanda (Martin-John "Charlie") Slingerland; Nana to Jaxson and Olivia; as well as step-Nana to Christian (Jordin) and their daughter Raven, passed away peacefully at the Sunny South Lodge in Coaldale, AB, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 76 years.

Wilma touched many lives through her volunteering for the hospital auxiliary, catering with the Camp River Ladies Circle, being on the Camp River Hall Board, and participating in and leading her TOPS group.

Love and laughter were always near Wilma. At family gatherings, big or small, Sam and Ted's table was known as the noisy one, since more and more chairs were added to the circle.

Wilma enjoyed traveling. She definitely utilized planes, trains, automobiles, buses, and cruise ships. From resorts in Mexico to watching a shuttle launch in Florida to enjoying the quaint streets of Quebec City and France, she was always excited for the next adventure.

Wilma's sunflower personality shone through, charming all those she met. She will be greatly missed.

Viewing and condolences will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 5:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service will be held at BETHEL NETHERLANDS REFORMED CHURCH, 8920 Broadway Street, Chilliwack, BC, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. afterwards, Wilma will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Chilliwack Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Sunny South Lodge's activities department in memory of Wilma Vrieselaar.
