Billy Wayne Seamon

Rockwell-Billy Wayne Seamon, 70, passed away Wednesday evening, January 23, 2013, at the Meadows of Rockwell, where he had been a resident. Born October 6, 1942 in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Alonzo M. and Thelma Lee Taylor Seamon. Educated in the Rowan County schools, Mr. Seamon had last worked for Johnson Concrete and was of the Baptist faith.

Family members left with fond memories include his son, Jerry Wayne Seamon of Taylorsville, his daughter, Brenda Sue Byrd of Statesville, brother, James H. Seamon of Orlando, FL, his sister, Shirley Horton of China Grove, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mr. Seamon will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 27, 2013 form 1:30-2:00 pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Landis. A funeral service to remember and celebrate his life will begin at 2:00, in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Larry Beaver. A private burial will take place at a later date.
