Buck K. Jones

Mr. Buck Kenneth Charles Jones, age 85, of China Grove, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021at NOVANT-Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury after a period of declining health. Buck was born December 1, 1935in Rowan County and was the son of the late Ralph Alfred Jones and Margaret Ross Jones. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin Jones and Marshall Jones and his sisters, Margaret Jones Honeycutt and Ruth Jones Forrest and niece, Peggy Wilbanks Long and nephew, Cullen Wilbanks. Buck was a member of Phaniel Baptist Church.

Buck proudly served his country in the United States Marines. After his service, he spent his career working for Cannon Mills where he was a supervisor. After retirement and his health began to decline, he

enjoyed watching westerns of all kind. Buck loved a good meal. He had a passion of late for HungryMan Dinners, which he could prepare himself and his niece, Peggy always made sure his favorites were stocked and ready for him. Buck loved watching and recording religious services and messages and would send them back and forth with his dear friend and pastor, Mike Taylor. He loved his church and the messages each Sunday.

Those left to cherish his memory are his nieces, Nita Wilbanks, Peggy Wilbanks and Diane Forrest along with his nephew, Lynn Wilbanks. He also leaves behind many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Buck will be Monday, September 20, 2021 from 1:30 - 2:00pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00pm officiated by Pastor Mike Taylor of Phaniel Baptist Church. Interment with Full Military Honors will be at West Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, 1350 South Main Street, China Grove, NC at 2:45pm.
