Carolyn Compton Corriher

Mrs. Carolyn Compton Corriher, 86 of China Grove passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Lutheran Homes at Trinity Oaks. Born on March 31, 1929 in Comer Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Knox and Orrie Lee Clark Compton. A graduate of Cannon High School, she was a member of Corriher Heights Baptist Church.

Earlier in life, Mrs. Corriher worked at Cannon Mills Co. She and her husband Frank were co owners and operators of Frank A Corriher Well Drilling and Water Service for over 20 years from 1954 till 1976. She was a cherished homemaker, housewife, mother and grandmother. Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 68 years Frank A Corriher, to whom she married on March 20, 1948. In addition are her children, sons; Danny Corriher (Susan), Joel Corriher (Crystal) and Ricky Corriher (Gail) and daughter Terry C. Cress, all of China Grove. She was also survived by her grandchildren, Doug Corriher, Brian Corriher, Christin Corriher – Duffell, Jordan Corriher, Camren Seamon, Chad Cress, Dane Corriher and Tyler Corriher, and great grandchildren, Cailey Duffell, Gracie Corriher, Dalton Corriher and Kolton Corriher.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 6:00 til 8:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral on Monday at 11:00 also at the funeral home with Rev.Chris Pethel, minister. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu to flowers, memorials may be made to Corriher Heights Baptist Church, 1980 Hwy 153, China Grove, NC 28023.
