Charlie Hunsucker

Mr. Charlie Clifford Hunsucker, 80 of China Grove passed away on Tuesday April 15, 2014 at NC State Veterans Home. Born on June 11, 1933 in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Lonnie L and Edna Sherrill Hunsucker.

Educated in the Iredell County Schools, he was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He was a member of the Rockwell Amvets Post 845. He retired from Fieldcrest Cannon after many years of service. His pastimes were fishing, hunting, gardening and riding motorcycles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Ivory Louise Farrington Hunsucker. Those left to cherish his memory is his daughter Carol H. Bean (Tony) of Rockwell and son Charles Eugene Hunsucker of Charlotte, brothers Lonnie Hunsucker of Concord and Paul Hunsucker of Statesville and sister Sarah Hager of Troutman. He was survived by grandchildren Brooke Johnson (Josh), Carrie Sims, Shannon Sims and Clara Bean and great granddaughter London Johnson.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:30 til 2:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral at 2:00 also at the funeral home with Rev. Neal Brower, minister.
