Christopher Shawn Parnell

Born on September 2, 1977, he was the son of the late Dickie Lynn Parnell and Kimberly Lynn Bare Parnell.

Better known as Shawn, he graduated from Salisbury High School and resided at RHA Brentwood Group Home. He loved rooting for his beloved TarHeels and Panthers.

He leaves many to cherish his memory, including his brothers, Jason (Alison) Parnell and Joseph Logan Parnell; grandfather, Robert (Mary) Bare; aunts and uncles, Meredith Bare Smith (Jarrod) and Sherre Bare Brogdon (Bob) and Jeff Bare.

His nieces, Serenity Lynn Parnell, Caylee Matthews and Chloe Matthews; his nephews, Ethan Thomas Parnell and Evan Lee Parnell and a large extended family of cousins and friends further survive Shawn.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 30, 2022 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

The service honoring Shawn’s life will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove, NC.
