Dale Franklin Lambert

China Grove-Dale "Doodie" Franklin Lambert, 57, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 31, 2013, at CMC-Northeast Medical Center. Born September 22, 1956 in Cabarrus County, he was a son of Bobbie Jean Lambert of China Grove and the late Garland "Sonny" Franklin Lambert. A 1974 graduate of South Rowan High, he honorably served his country with the US Navy and had worked for Perma-flex for 29 years. An avid fisherman, Dale also enjoyed NASCAR, camping, the beach, horse shoes and being with his family and many friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Ferguson.

Family members left with cherished memories, in addition to his mother, include his wife of 25 years, Ann Powell Lambert; his sons, Kenny Ferguson and wife, Jinger, of Salisbury and Jeff Ferguson of China Grove; brother, David Lambert (Kim); his sisters, Debbie Williams( Doug) and Donna Wright (Danny), all of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Thomas, Kaylee, Kendall and Katie Ferguson and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 4, 2013, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral services to celebrate and remember his life will begin at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Tony Wagoner, Pastor, South China Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
