Mrs. Wilhoit was born on December 14, 1957 in Rowan County and was the daughter of Della Mae Jenkins, who survives.
Educated in the Rowan County Schools, she worked for many years for the Rowan County Schools in the lunchroom. In her spare time, she enjoyed the company of her pet dogs and cats.
In addition to her mother, those with cherished memories include her husband of 43 years, Bobby Wilhoit, sons, Jonathon Wilhoit (Elizabeth) and David Wilhoit (Sharon).
Also surviving are her grandchildren Peyton Wilhoit, Christine Wilhoit, Elijah Wilhoit and Ayden Wilhoit, and her two sisters, Devonna Ijames (Paul) and Lynn J. Cozart (Stanley).
Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral to follow at 2:00 in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
