

Born in Syracuse, New York on May 21st, 1958, he was the son of the late Richard Anthony Parzych and Joan Rose Bandel Parzych.
Douglas worked as a machine operator for Commercial Metals Company in Charlotte and was a member of He’s Alive Church, where he volunteered wherever needed.
He also volunteered at Main Street Marketplace and Meeting Place in China Grove and enjoyed helping his neighbors whenever possible. He loved music and cherished time spent in the outdoors and with close friends.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Kyle Anthony Parzych (Amanda Lugo) of Hutto, TX, and Eric Douglas Parzych (Alisa Allen) of East Syracuse, NY, and his grandchildren, Ashlyn Parzych and Kylie Parzych.
Douglas is further survived by one brother, Gregory Parzych (MaryAlice); three sisters, Judith Lewis (Damon); Deborah Parzych and Justina Lamb; Uncle, Arthur Bandel; niece, Sarah Prospect; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who reside out of state; and his feline companion, Gospel.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, October 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM at He’s Alive Church 1310 N. Cannon Blvd. Kannapolis, NC with Care Pastor Doug Hardin officiating.
A second Celebration of Life will also be held for family and friends in Douglas’ hometown on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Coleman's Authentic Irish Pub 100 South Lowell Ave. Syracuse, NY 13204.
