

Born November 16th, 1930 in Randolph County, AL, she was the daughter of the late William Lentz and Etta Mae Crook Lentz.
Frances graduated from Boyden High School and worked for 62 years at Parkdale Cotton Mills.
A true Godly woman, she focused her life on serving the Lord. She taught Sunday school for many years at various churches, and she enjoyed ministering at nursing homes. Frances was a true prayer warrior.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rubin Bradshaw, Jr., and second husband, Rufus Snider and three siblings, Harold Lentz, Thelma Stokes and Elmer Lentz.
Frances was dearly loved and will be missed by her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, George Simmons; daughters, Claudia (Bill) Sides and Glenda (Anthony) Board; grandchildren, LaTawnia Sides, Todd Sides, Jessica Sides, Michael (Jennifer) Board, Drew and Dalton Board.
She is further survived by her great-grandchildren Coen Sides and Bergen Sides; step-children, Jerry (Sherry) Simmons, Ronnie (Sissie) Simmons, Judy (Ronnie) Ward, Andy (Paula) Simmons and Patti (Randy) Wagoner.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 1:00 PM- 2:30 PM at Canaan Baptist Church with the funeral service beginning at 2:30 PM with Rev. Bruce Graham and Rev. Jared Graham. Burial will be held at Sherrill’s Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.
All attending the services are encouraged by the family to please wear a mask and observe social distancing.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Sherry and Donna for all their prayers and love shown to Frances. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Seth Malone, the doctors and nurses at Novant Health – Rowan Medical Center and Novant Health Hospice for their loving care.
