Gary Dale Kautz

Gary was born April 9, 1942 to the late Dale and Irene Tucker Kautz in Austin, MN.

He graduated high school in 1961 and attended Baptist Bible College for two years. He served in the United States Army as a payroll clerk and Chaplain assistant, having spent one year in Vietnam.

Gary spent his life in retail, having various positions and responsibilities. He married Sharon Jansen in June 1967 and shared 58 years together.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon and son, Jeffrey Kautz, both of Huntersville; brother, Stephen Kautz and brother-in-law, Larry Stewart of Polk City, FL; sister, Barbara Hutchins of Albert Lea, MN. brother-law, Larry Jansen, Eagen, MN., brother and sister- laws William and Barbara Kilgore, Alexandria, MN, and brother-in-law, Ronald Jansen, Waseca, MN, nieces and and nephews. Two adopted grandsons, John Muhlbach III, Charlotte, NC and William Muhlbach, Huntsville, AL.

In addition to his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by twin sons, Gregrey and Timothy and two brothers, James and David Kautz.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Community in Christ Church, 7621 Norman Island Drive Cornelius, NC with Pastor Michael Beery and Pastor Lisa Beery officiating.

The family will speak to friends following the service and military honors.
