Hazel Propst Elliott

Born on December 10, 1931 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Carl B. Propst and Fannie Mae Ward Propst.

A graduate of China Grove High School, she was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church. Earlier in life, she worked for Cannon Mills, Draymore Manufacturing, Nutrena Feed Store, Belks Department Store and 1st Union Bank in China Grove before becoming a beautician.

Camping at the beach, looking for seashells and swimming with her grandchildren were some of her favorite things to do.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her grandson, Matthew Goodman.

Those with cherished memories are her husband of 75 years, Hubert Lee Elliott, daughter Darlene Elliott Goodman (Alan), grandchildren Erica Goodman, Nicholas Goodman (Jennifer), Caleb Goodman (Preston Ashwood) and Madison Goodman (Bryan Mault). Her great grandchildren are Makayla, Maximus, Jayden, Paisleigh, Laiklyn Calliope,Hunter and Jasmine Goodman, Nicolas Mault, Josh Steelman and Myah Covington.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove, with Graveside Service Saturday January 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove with Pastor Chris Henson officiating.
