Hazel Lucille Nance

Mrs. Hazel Lucille Deal Nance 90 of Salisbury passed away on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at Genesis Eldercare. Born on March 10, 1925 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late John Calvin Deal and Minnie Overcash Deal.

She attended Rowan County Schools and was a lifetime member of the Organ Lutheran Church . She worked at Cannon Mills as a cloth inspector at the Swink Plant. She loved crocheting, growing flowers and she loved fishing at the Outer Banks.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Haden Nance (2010) and her son Cecil Ray Deal (1986). Those left to cherish her memory are her son Gene Nance of Salisbury, her daughter Revonda Nance (Charles Lockert) also of Salisbury her daughter-in-law Deanna Upright, sister Doris Deal of Granite Quarry, two grandchildren Lori Ewart (Dean) and Jody Phillips (Mike). Seven great grandchildren, Derek, Joshua, Lauren & Weston Ewart. Mason and Ethan Beal and Jakob Phillips.

Visitation will be held Monday March 7 from 10:00 til 11:00 am at the Organ Lutheran Church with funeral at 11:00 also at the church with Rev. Carlin Ours, minister. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Organ Lutheran Church, 1515 Organ Lutheran Church Rd. Salisbury, NC 28146. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and especially to Wendy Basinger of Genesis Eldercare for their care and compassion shown to their loved one.
