Hazel Sigmon Norris, 90 of Kannapolis passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Big Elm Nursing Center. Born on March 23, 1922 in Mooresville, she was the daughter of the late George and Ethel Hudspeth Sigmon. Educated in Rowan County Schools, she was a member of Landis Baptist Church. She was a dietician for the Baptist Children's Home in Thomasville. Mrs. Norris enjoyed cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. H. Jack Norris in 1996, and eight brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memories are her sons Wayne Norris (Brenda) of Harrisburg, Michael Norris (Brenda) of Rockwell and Grant Norris (Linda) of Sweetwater, Tennessee. A daughter Judy Norris, of Wilmington, also survives her. She has eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and twelve great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday at 4:00 at Greenlawn Cemetery.
