Irene Warner Henderson

Irene Warner Henderson, age 94, of Mooresville, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Born March 18, 1927, Irene was the daughter of the late Walter Bryan Warner and Stella Call Warner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Henderson in 2002 along with her brothers, Oscar Warner, Wilson Warner, Fred Warner and sister, Eula Caldwell.

Irene was an amazing cook and was well know for her baking of cakes, homemade biscuits and special dressing at Thanksgiving; all recipes her daughters and granddaughters cherish and will keep her traditions alive. She was also an excellent seamstress. She loved quilting and doing beautiful embroidery pieces for everyone to enjoy. Irene had a tremendous love for her family and caring for them. They meant the world to her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; David W. Henderson of China Grove, Charles E. Henderson of Mooresville, Ralph W. Henderson Jr. (Bonnie) of Trinity NC, Margaret "Sissy" Caskenette of Collingwood, Ontario, Brenda Pittman of Virginia, Elizabeth "Beth" Hebert (Rick) of Seabrook, Texas, and Carol Ann Lally (Scott) of Annapolis, Maryland. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Chris Henderson, Michael Henderson, Clarendia Simpson, Toni Rice, Charles David Henderson, Bradley Henderson, Kristen Tooley, Sydney Brec Caskenette, Sela Quinn Caskenette, Alan Pittman, Steven Pittman, Ashlynn Hebert and Kylei Lally along with her great-grandchildren, Dylan Rice, Dustin Henderson, Jerin Henderson, Fitz Patrick Henderson, Heather Henderson and great-great grandchildren, Braylin Henderson, Cash Henderson and Scarlett Henderson.

A Graveside Service for Irene will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Rowan Memorial Park, Hwy 601 North, Salisbury, NC.
